Strength & Conditioning Coach

The Strength and Conditioning Coach (SCC) is responsible for developing and implementing physical training programs designed to enhance athletic performance and physical fitness, with an emphasis on developing strength, conditioning, and injury prevention strategies. Duties and Functions Develop and execute training programs to improve strength, endurance, and overall fitness of clients or athletes. Monitor and evaluate clients’ performance and progress, providing necessary adjustments to training plans. Educate clients on effective exercise techniques and safety protocols. Maintain clear and accurate records of training sessions and client progress. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 3 years of relevant SCC experience (waivers possible for veterans, military spouses, or specific internship/assistant experience). Preferred Requirements Current NSCA CSCS or CSCCa SCCC certification. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification. US Citizenship. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA) Knowledge —Strong understanding of strength and conditioning principles. Skill — Excellent communication and motivational skills to instruct and encourage clients. Ability — Ability to adapt training techniques to individual needs. Supervisory Responsibilities This position may not typically include supervisory roles but involves directing individual or group training sessions. Work Environment/Condition Training conducted in diverse environmental conditions, including outdoor settings with varying climates. Ability to work in spaces with potential exposure to noise and movement‑related hazards. Physical Demands Must be capable of lifting weights up to 45 pounds and performing physical activities under various weather conditions. $500/ Year for Professional Development Up to $2,000 in relocation reimbursement.
