The Vice President of Marketing leads the strategy and execution of all marketing, communications, and brand management efforts to drive destination awareness, visitation, and economic impact in the Richmond Region. This role is responsible for developing and implementing both short- and long-term marketing strategies, establishing performance benchmarks, and ensuring alignment with overall organizational growth objectives. We are seeking a strategic, people-centered marketing leader who can develop high-performing leaders, build strong cross-functional relationships, and serve as a collaborative partner to the executive leadership team. Requirements Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, communications, tourism, hospitality, economic development, or a related industry. Experience leading leaders and developing high-performing organizations. Demonstrated success creating and executing strategic marketing initiatives that achieve measurable results. Strong business acumen, financial management, and budget oversight experience. Ability to influence stakeholders, build partnerships, and foster collaboration across diverse groups. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills. Emotional intelligence, sound judgment, adaptability, and a growth mindset.
