Job Description As a Security Officer Roving Patrol in Petaluma, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM; Thu 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM; Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM; Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, including assisting with access control, visitor screening, and reporting unusual activity. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location. Help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or disruptive behavior by maintaining a visible presence and documenting observed incidents and activities. Support staff and visitors with directions, information, and/or assistance during routine operations, shift changes, and emergency‑related events as needed. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required. Be at least 21 years of age. A guard card and/or license is preferred. A pepper spray certification is preferred. The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
