EHC is looking for a Forklift Operator for a Client in Palestine, Tx

Job Type: Temporary/Contract

Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Position Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely transporting pallets, materials, and products throughout the Distribution Center and Reverse Logistics Center. This role supports production operations, loads and unloads customer trailers, and may require manually sorting pallets as part of daily warehouse activities. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport pallets and materials throughout the facility.
• Make efficient decisions regarding the movement and placement of products to support operational productivity.
• Load and unload trailers, trucks, and designated warehouse areas.
• Position forks and lifting devices to safely move, stack, and store materials.
• Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures at all times.
• Meet established productivity and performance standards while maintaining workplace safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
• Manually sort and handle pallets when required.
• Demonstrate accountability, teamwork, and adherence to company core values.

Qualifications

• Strong basic math, reading, and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to accurately follow instructions and maintain records.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed; overtime may be mandatory.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and shift assignments.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and other warehouse-related elements.
• Frequent bending, stooping, walking, turning, pivoting, and standing throughout the shift.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a forklift.
• Frequent use of hands for handling, reaching, and operating equipment.
• Strong balance and hand-eye-foot coordination required.
• Ability to lift and move pallets manually weighing between 50–75 lbs. as needed.
• Requires close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
• Noise levels may vary depending on the facility location.
• PPE must be worn at all times as required by site safety policies.
