Java Technical Lead

Salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for a bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• We need 5–8 years of full-stack software development experience, including at least 2 years in a development-focused leadership role.
• We require 8+ years of Java development experience, particularly with high-volume backend applications in logistics or field service environments.
• We seek strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, especially Spring Boot, microservices, and database design across SQL and NoSQL.
• We need proven experience in RESTful API design and development, asynchronous messaging such as Kafka, and cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• We require experience with event-driven architecture.
• We value demonstrated proficiency in Agile practices and CI/CD best practices.
• We look for full-stack development experience, including front-end frameworks such as React.
• We need experience working with distributed teams and coordinating delivery across time zones.

• We drive technical priorities and own end-to-end delivery and support for Java-based backend solutions used in core business operations.
• We lead agile development efforts for Java platforms, including architecture design, implementation patterns, and security practices.
• We provide hands-on technical leadership by guiding backend engineering with a focus on scalable data processing, high availability, and API performance.
• We oversee project timelines, resource planning, and team performance to support successful delivery.
• We mentor engineers across distributed teams, conduct code reviews, and promote continuous learning and improvement.
• We coordinate cross-team dependencies and collaborate with Product, UX, QA, and Backend teams to deliver scalable and reliable outcomes.
• We partner with enterprise architecture, DevOps, and operations teams to support integration and CI/CD pipelines for backend services.
• We help estimate work, align delivery with business goals, and incorporate diverse perspectives into planning.
• We ensure compliance with Agile, DevOps, and security practices while evaluating new Java and backend technologies.
• We align technical deliverables with business needs so our solutions improve operational efficiency and KPIs.
• We maintain production readiness through automated testing, monitoring, and support strategies.
• We apply domain knowledge in logistics operations to Java backend solution design.
• We create and manage delivery timelines, ensure teams and environments are scoped effectively, and support high-stakes production deployments.
• We stay composed during technical escalations and lead crisis resolution when needed.
• We use data and metrics to inform business planning, staffing, and risk mitigation decisions.
