About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Legal Officer to play a pivotal role in the organization's multi-year enterprise transformation. This executive will be responsible for evolving the legal and risk function into a more integrated, forward-leaning, and enterprise-scaled capability. The successful candidate will serve as a primary advisor to the Board of Directors and executive leadership on a wide range of legal, regulatory, risk, and governance matters. Key responsibilities include acting as a strategic partner on growth initiatives, providing legal leadership on M&A and other strategic transactions, and leading senior-level engagement with key regulators. The role demands a leader with a deep understanding of IP, data, and AI governance, and a proven track record in enterprise-wide transformation, including the adoption of AI and automation. Candidates for the Chief Legal Officer position at the company must have a mandatory background as a General Counsel or Chief Legal Officer in a public company, with direct Board and CEO advisory experience. The role requires a leader with a commercial mindset, curiosity, and the ability to enable innovation responsibly. The ideal candidate will have a modern, transformation-oriented operating mindset, and be adept at balancing innovation with discipline, speed with rigor, and commercial ambition with long-term stewardship. Leadership characteristics include being a guardian of trust, a strategic business partner, and an enterprise leader with the capacity to lead complex global teams through change. The Chief Legal Officer will also be expected to modernize legal and risk operations, build a world-class team, and set the leadership tone for disciplined judgment and strong partnership with the business.
