Employment Litigation Associate

Hybrid Schedule | 2 Remote Days Per Week About the Opportunity DNA Partners is representing a nationally recognized law firm seeking a Mid-Level Labor & Employment Associate to join its expanding New York office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 5-7 years of experience counseling employers and handling employment litigation who is looking to work on sophisticated matters, develop strong client relationships, and play a meaningful role in a growing practice. The position offers a dynamic mix of day-to-day counseling, strategic advisory work, and complex litigation involving a broad range of workplace issues facing today's employers. Key Responsibilities Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace best practices, including wage and hour matters, paid leave requirements, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and emerging legal developments affecting the workforce. Counsel clients on evolving workplace issues, including the implementation and use of artificial intelligence and other new technologies in employment settings. Draft and review employee handbooks, workplace policies, employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenant provisions. Represent management-side clients in federal and state courts, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative proceedings. Manage all stages of employment litigation, from pleadings and discovery through motion practice and resolution. Prepare and argue substantive motions, including motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment. Conduct depositions, witness interviews, internal investigations, and fact development. Respond to agency inquiries and prepare position statements before federal, state, and local administrative agencies. Work closely with clients to develop practical, business-focused solutions to complex workplace challenges. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active admission to the New York Bar. 5-7 years of labor and employment law experience, including both counseling and litigation. Demonstrated experience advising employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills. Experience handling employment disputes, administrative proceedings, and motion practice. Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently while maintaining exceptional client service.
