Temporary Full-Time Clinical Assistant Professor (OYA) – School of Rehabilitation Services & Counseling – 2026-2027 Posting Number: PTFRGV1032 Location: Rio Grande Valley, Texas Division/Organization: Division of Health Affairs Appointment Period for Non-Tenure Position: 1 year Tenure Status: Non Tenure Track FTE: 1.0 Scope of Job We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's student body as a Clinical Assistant Professor of the School of Rehabilitation Services & Counseling beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in rehabilitation counseling, addictions counseling, psychology, allied health, expressive arts therapy, or a related area. Minimum of three years post-master's degree professional work experience in the field, with at least two years in direct service. Professional certifications (e.g., CRC, Certified Interpreter for the Deaf) or licensure (e.g., LPC, LCDC, LPC-A, LCDC-Intern).
