Description

• Administer evaluations to patients spanning the pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using a mix of standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans that effectively address both immediate goals and overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to cultivate seamless care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and their families to enhance progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring continuous care throughout the patient's journey.
• Keep precise and timely documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay abreast of advancements in the discipline through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• A completed supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification from ASHA has not yet been attained.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
