As an Angioplasty Specialist, you will assist Cardiac Catherization Physicians in all phases of invasive and interventional cardiology procedures. You will act at the primary assistant during interventional and diagnostic coronary procedures including structural and congenital heart procedures.As an expert in the field, you will specialize in the acute interventional setting with a complete understanding of the physiologic and technologic expertise required to facilitate effective and efficient patient care. Collect patient data, assist in patient preparation, evaluate patients for emergencies, and review diagnostic and interventional angiograms post-procedure. Play a vital role in world-renowned care, using the newest paradigms and best practices in heart care.This a full-time, Monday – Friday, day shift position located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.Preferred CriteriaThree (3) years of experience applicable to specialty including one year experience scrubbing in Cardiac Cath labRegistered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) registrationRequired CriteriaQualifying Education or equivalent work experience assessed by the Medical Director of Interventional CardiologyPrevious experience applicable to the specialtyKnowledge of Interventional Cardiology, Hemodynamic Monitoring, Cardiovascular Anatomy and PhysiologyJoin a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
