We look forward to hearing from you.Engineering Manager Reports To: Project ManagerSummary: The Engineering Manager is responsible for all engineering and design activities on the engagement and assists the Project Manager. The Engineering Manager is primarily responsible for scope definition, engineering planning and the sequencing of engineering activities, engineering resource planning, onboarding and demobilisations, technical leadership, integration of disciplines, and resolution of issues, engineering quality, Safety in Design, ensuring all engineering deliverables are delivered in accordance with the engineering processes and procedures, engineering design tools, delivery of all technical deliverables to achieve the project objectives within the specified timeframe and budget. The Engineering Manager reports to the Project Manager and provides direction to Area Engineers and Discipline Leads and Discipline Engineers on engineering related matters.Key Responsibilities: The Engineering Manager has the following key responsibilities in engagement planning, setup and execution:Planning: The Engineering Manager needs to ensure with Project Management, that the following planning baseline information is in place and reflected in the client agreement.Execution: The Engineering Manager needs to:Qualifications and Experience: EssentialBSc/BEng degree in an engineering disciplineRegistration as a Professional Engineer with the governing authority, in the regions where it appliesTypically, 12 years' experience in a multi-disciplinary environmentTypically, 3 years' experience in managing design engineering teams workingAn extensive technical knowledge of engineering systems, design, applications of engineering processes and materials, and engineering applications of current engineering technologiesGeneral knowledge of industry, regulatory standards and codes, and design criteria in engineering disciplinesAbility to plan, coordinate and organise at an advanced levelComprehensive knowledge of project planning, controls and understanding of multidiscipline interdependenciesKnowledge of 3D model/drawing production and document control methodologiesKnowledge of earn value management, progress assessment and engineering control strategiesAbility to adapt to constant change and accommodate high pressure situations to support the team in meeting project objectivesAn extensive knowledge of administrative practices and strong communication skills across all levels including client representativesAbility to manage relationships with key stakeholders involved in the project (including internal and external clients)A high degree of understanding of procurement and contracting, construction and commissioning methodologies as related to the disciplineAbility to lead, motivate and inspire others, transfer expertise, and provide a coaching role to others in terms of best practiceAbility to handle complex problem-solving tasks, applying appropriate analysis and consideration of high-level technical detailsWhy join us?
