Pay range for local nurses (within 50 miles) :- $56/hour - $57/hour

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a high-volume Level I Trauma Center . The ideal candidate will have recent Level I Trauma experience and be confident managing a wide variety of complex surgical cases, including trauma, neurosurgery, pediatrics, organ transplants, and emergency overnight procedures. Candidates should have prior travel nursing experience and thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary surgical environment. Experience in both scrubbing and circulating is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures.
• Perform circulating duties and assist with scrubbing during surgical procedures when needed.
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment while maintaining a sterile environment.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Monitor patient safety before, during, and after surgery, ensuring adherence to AORN standards and hospital protocols.
• Assist with complex surgical specialties, including trauma, neurosurgery, orthopedic, transplant, vascular, thoracic, urology, ENT, oral/maxillofacial, robotics, and general surgery.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Level I Trauma Operating Room experience required.
• BLS certification (AHA required).
• Previous travel nursing experience (minimum 1–2 completed travel assignments ); this cannot be a first travel assignment.
• Scrub and circulate experience preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment.
