Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) - 3x12 Hour Day Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Day shifts, from 07:00 AM to 07:00 PM, including weekdays and every other weekend.

Job Description

The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients facing a range of behavioral health challenges in a structured hospital environment. The RN will be responsible for assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and monitor progress.
• Ensure compliance with facility protocols and procedures, including seclusion protocols.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient care initiatives.
• Provide psychoeducation and support to patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in behavioral health or a related field.
• BCLS, CPI, and First Aid certifications (CPI/First Aid can be obtained during orientation).
• A valid RN License in West Virginia or a compact state license (pending license acceptable).
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR); familiarity with Avatar is preferred.
