Dental receptionist / admin

Coast Dental is seeking an organized, customer-focused individual to join our Sun City office as a Receptionist. This role is essential for providing superior administrative support and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patients. You will be the first point of contact, managing patient check-in/out, scheduling appointments, and handling critical insurance verification processes under the direction of the Office Manager.

Dental receptionist / admin

Deliver outstanding customer service during all patient interactions, both in person and over the phone.
Manage patient check-in, complete registration accurately, and maintain patient charts daily.
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently according to operational standards.
Execute insurance verifications for all patients two (2) business days prior to appointments to determine coverage and benefit limits.
Accurately link insurance information in the dental software (e.g., EagleSoft) and ensure required pre-authorizations are secured before treatment.
Complete the check-out process, reviewing charts to confirm proper documentation of procedures and billing information aligns with the signed routing slip from the provider.
Actively participate in the morning huddle, chart review, and all routine office meetings.
Assist with assigned monthly checklist activities and maintain a clean and professional front desk area.
Perform all other assigned clerical and administrative duties as needed.

part-time $25,200 - $32,200 per year

- Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and professional, courteous phone etiquette.
Proven basic clerical and administrative skills.
Working knowledge of internet browsers and Microsoft Word.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks (multi-tasking).

Prior experience in a dental office or with insurance verification is highly preferred.
Experience with dental software (such as EagleSoft).
Basic understanding of insurance procedures and dental terminology.
Experience working with Microsoft Excel.
Previous experience in an orthodontic or other dental specialty practice.
