This role works closely with production, logistics, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to maintain a balanced production schedule and support continuous improvement initiatives in an automotive manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly weld shop production schedules.Coordinate production requirements based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to minimize downtime and meet delivery commitments.Release production orders and prioritize work based on customer requirements.Collaborate with production supervisors to resolve scheduling conflicts and capacity constraints.Monitor material availability and coordinate with purchasing and logistics to prevent shortages.Track key production metrics, including schedule adherence, throughput, and equipment utilization.Communicate schedule changes promptly to production, warehouse, shipping, and customer service teams.Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.Maintain accurate production records and scheduling information in ERP/MRP systems.Support inventory control by maintaining optimal work-in-process (WIP) levels.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and automotive customer requirements.Other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsAssociate's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred.2–5 years of production scheduling or production control experience in an automotive manufacturing environment along with HS Diploma.Experience with robotic welding, resistance welding, or metal fabrication processes is preferred.Knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, and inventory management.Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Plex, QAD, or similar).Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Preferred SkillsUnderstanding of automotive production systems and Just-in-Time (JIT) manufacturing.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.Familiarity with IATF 16949 quality standards.Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.Physical RequirementsAbility to work in both office and manufacturing environments.Occasionally walking throughout the production floor.Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while on the shop floor. #J-18808-Ljbffr Jefferson Industries Corporation
