About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead critical capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects for our Roofing Systems division. You will step right into a strategic STRAP project, starting with smaller scopes and scaling up to manage $1M to $5M projects (part of a broader $20M division portfolio). This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee everything from initial concept and stage-gate approvals to vendor management, equipment ordering, and on-site contractor execution.
Key Responsibilities
Project Lifecycle Management: Take projects through the stage-gate process, developing scopes, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and securing project funding.
Procurement & Contracting: Select materials, equipment, and project resources; hire and lead external contractors and on-site vendors.
Technical & Commercial Oversight: Ensure all designs and equipment specifications are reviewed for safety, quality, functionality, and cost-efficiency.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead a project team comprising plant personnel, discipline engineers, procurement specialists, and external contractors. Report progress to the project steering team.
Project Controls: Utilize tools like MS Project or Primavera to track timelines; SAP experience is a strong plus.
Candidate Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
Experience: 5+ years of engineering and project management experience within industrial or manufacturing environments.
Scale: Proven track record managing capital projects up to $20M.
Technical Fluency: Proficient in project scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera); exposure to SAP systems is advantageous.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel more than 50% or reside near one of our manufacturing plant locations or Littleton, CO.
