Job Summary This position requires a state phlebotomy license. (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV). Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required. Verify patient identification and labelling before collecting samples. Prepare specimens for transport, including labeling, centrifugation, splitting, and storage as ordered. Confirm and verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems. Patient Experience & Customer Service Resolve routine patient and client concerns and appropriately refer non‑routine issues. Provide professional, respectful and efficient service using strong communication and problem‑solving skills. Maintain accurate data entry for patient registration, test order entry and billing information. Explain collection procedures clearly and address patient questions. Keep the collection environment clean and welcoming while handling multiple priorities. Site Support and Travel Provide coverage across PSC and Client Offices within assigned territory with minimal notice. Ensure daily office activities are completed accurately and on time. Maintain reliable transportation; meet travel expectations including a valid driver’s license and clean driving record if required. Operations & Compliance Enter billing information accurately and collect payments following corporate policies. Follow mandatory departmental policies, procedural mandatory mandatory mandatory, safety protocols and compliance standards. Utilize mandatory laboratory systems, directories, and corporate tools to confirm orders. Support routine administrative tasks: stocking, sanitizing, maintaining logs, filing, email use, answering phones. Complete ongoing training and keep mandatory mandatory mandatory mandatory mandatory skills up to date. Mandatory Work Experience Minimum two years of phlebotomy experience. Preferred Experience Customer service experience in retail or service environments. Phlebotomy accredited program, medical assistant or paramedic training. Physical & Mental Requirements Lift up to 15 lbs frequently; up to 40 lbs occasionally with assistance. Perform repetitive hand motions, stand or sit for extended periods. Walk and stand frequently; occasional bending, kneeling, twisting or pulling. Extensive phone and computer use; frequent communication in English. Qualifications & Certifications High School diploma or equivalent. Travel up to 75 %. Phlebotomy certification required in CA, NV, WA, LA. English language proficiency required. Professional medical certification desirable (e.g., medical assistant, phlebotomy).
