Cross-Fire and Security Co., part of the Altus Fire and Life Safety family of companies, located in Long Island City, NY is looking for a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team! The Fire Alarm Technician is primarily responsible for servicing fire alarm systems.

• Service fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Perform scheduled or routine preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment and systems.
• Inspect, adjust, clean and calibrate, ensuring systems are in excellent working order.
• Complete within assigned hours in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving zero callbacks.
• Work assignments are to be performed in a safe manner and within specified cost limits.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years experience as licensed fire alarm technician
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Preferred Notifier certification
  
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, follow directions and meet deadlines.
• All applicants will undergo a comprehensive background check.
• Must be flexible with working hours and be willing to be part of an on-call rotation.
• Report to assigned job site location on time, as directed.
• Maintain and properly store tools, materials, and equipment.
