City Cave is bringing a new kind of wellness experience to St Pete.

With roots in Australia, City Cave helps people reset, recover and reconnect through Float Therapy, Infrared Sauna and Therapeutic Massage.

We are creating more than a spa. We are building a wellness destination where every guest feels known, cared for and leaves feeling better than when they arrived.

As the founding General Manager of City Cave St Pete, you will help shape the location from day one, building the team, establishing the culture, growing our local presence and directly influencing the success of the business.

The Opportunity

The General Manager is the day-to-day leader of City Cave St Pete and is responsible for the overall performance of the location.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building a business, developing people, creating exceptional guest experiences and taking ownership of results.

You will work closely with the owner and City Cave support team while leading team performance, operations, community growth and commercial results.

Launch the Location

During the opening phase, you will help establish the foundations for long-term success by:

• Leading recruitment, onboarding and readiness of the founding Spa Operations and Massage Therapy teams
• Establishing strong operating standards, service expectations and team culture from day one
• Supporting pre-opening outreach, partnerships and local awareness to help build early guest demand  

Lead the Team and Guest Experience

You will:

• Recruit, schedule, coach and develop the Spa Operations and Massage Therapy teams
• Create a high-performing culture with clear expectations, regular coaching and strong accountability
• Lead by example and maintain a visible, engaged presence within the business
• Coach the team on guest experience, service knowledge, rebooking, memberships and key performance expectations
• Ensure every guest receives a warm, consistent and exceptional City Cave experience

Own Operations and Performance

You will:

• Lead the day-to-day operation of a seven-day service business and ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety and compliance
• Oversee team scheduling, service availability, inventory, vendors, supplies and maintenance needs
• Own key performance indicators across revenue, memberships, rebooking, retention, service utilization, labor and guest experience
• Review business performance regularly, address underperformance and identify opportunities to improve revenue, efficiency and profitability
• Maintain clear communication with the owner on performance, staffing, priorities, risks and opportunities

Grow City Cave in the Community

Building strong local awareness and partnerships will remain an important part of the role before and after opening.

You will:

• Build relationships with local businesses, gyms, healthcare providers, hotels, apartment communities and wellness professionals
• Develop an active outreach and partnership pipeline that generates awareness, referrals and guest traffic
• Represent City Cave through networking, local activations and community events
• Execute local marketing and community initiatives in partnership with the owner and City Cave marketing support

Within your first year, success will mean:

• City Cave St Pete has established a strong reputation and growing local guest base
• Revenue, memberships, rebooking and retention are progressing toward location targets
• The team consistently performs against clear service and business expectations
• Staffing, service capacity, labor and daily operations are being managed effectively
• Local partnerships are generating meaningful awareness and guest traffic
• The business operates confidently and consistently under your day-to-day leadership

Who We’re Looking For

We are more interested in strong leadership, commercial thinking and hospitality than a specific industry background.

Ideal candidates will have:

• 3+ years of management experience, with 5+ years preferred
• Experience leading customer-facing teams in a service-based business
• Demonstrated experience working toward sales, revenue or business performance goals
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching and problem-solving skills
• Confidence using KPIs and business performance data to make decisions
• A high level of comfort with CRM, scheduling, reporting and business technology platforms
• The ability to operate independently while maintaining strong communication and alignment
• Experience in hospitality, boutique fitness, wellness, spa, hotel, healthcare or premium retail environments preferred
• Experience opening, growing or improving the performance of a location, or building local partnerships, is highly desirable
