TAMPA SUBSURFACE UTILITY ENGINEERING (SUE) TECHNICIAN 1

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Use ground penetrating radar and electromagnetic designating equipment and other geophysical means.
• Mark utilities with flags and/or paint and produce accurate field drawings and sketches of results for future use by client.
• Operate vacuum excavation truck and other related equipment to verify utility characteristics and record depth of utility line from surface.
• Work as part of a crew under the direction of a senior technician.
• Assist with maintenance of vehicle/trucks, equipment, and work sites.
• Exercise extreme caution near or around any utility facility and follow all applicable job site safety parameters.

Requirements

• High School and/or specialized training from a vocational or technical school.
• Valid Florida driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
• Ability to travel (up to 50% of the time).
• Required to travel overnight when needed.
• Required to work 50+ hours during busy periods.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to carry and lift equipment as needed on project.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work for any employer in the United States.
