Grounds Maintenance Coach

Achievement House, Inc. is a respected nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities through vocational training, education, and independent living programs. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and reliable Ground Crew Job Coach to join our team.

In this rewarding role, you will provide hands-on training, supervision, and support to individuals as they develop valuable workplace skills through janitorial and grounds maintenance services. Part-Time | Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
8:30 AM to 3:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Coach and support individuals with developmental disabilities while performing janitorial and grounds maintenance services at various community locations.
• Provide clear instruction, encouragement, and ongoing feedback to promote skill development and workplace success.
• Supervise and mentor a crew of vocational trainees through hands-on training and positive reinforcement.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with site contacts and contract representatives.
• Monitor and maintain crew supplies, complete required documentation, and ensure proper care and cleanliness of the company vehicle.
• Represent Achievement House professionally and positively within the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation required; driving is an essential function of the position.
• Ability to provide proof of current California-required auto insurance.
• Ability to successfully complete Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI fingerprint clearance requirements.
• Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification (training provided).
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred, but not required.

Compensation

• $23.00 per hour
• $250 Sign-On Bonus
