As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government office location while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, building entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of visitor activity in public-facing areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and timely activity, incident, and patrol reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
