Insurance Defense Attorney

Location: Long Island, NY

Practice: Insurance Defense

Base Salary: $170,000–$200,000

Up to $250,000 for attorneys with strong trial experience

Billable Requirement: 166 hours/month | 2,000 hours/year

I'm currently working with an established civil defense and trial practice seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its litigation team on Long Island.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to handle substantive, sophisticated defense matters while continuing to build their litigation and trial experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage General Liability, Insurance Defense, and Construction/Labor Law cases
• Conduct legal research, discovery, motion practice, and case evaluation
• Appear for conferences, motions, hearings, and other court proceedings
• Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation

Ideal Candidate

• Active New York Bar admission
• Experience with General Liability, Insurance Defense and/or Construction/Labor Law
• Deposition and motion practice experience
• Attorneys with motion/bench trial or second-chair xhyhwjd experience are encouraged to apply

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $170,000 to $250,000. Factors that may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
