About the Position

Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - 2 years of PCU / Med-Surg Telemetry Acute Care experience - Traveler will be placed on a unit where the greatest need exists, whether it is a PCU or Med/Surg/Tele unit, based on skills - Will accept a Med/Surg or Step Down RN - Both skills require the same credentialing - RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills must be completed - Travel experience preferred - Must be willing to float onsite within skill set or to sites within a 40-mile radius if needed Description: This position requires the RN to work every other weekend and every other holiday. The candidate must have experience in both PCU and Med/Surg Tele units. Flexibility to work in different settings based on unit needs is essential. The RN will be responsible for caring for patients in a telemetry setting. Strong clinical skills and the ability to work under pressure are necessary. Candidates must comply with all standard procedures and protocols. Communication and teamwork are key components of this role.
