Govig Healthcare Group , the premier executive search firm specializing in the Senior Housing industry, is seeking an experienced Executive Director for a luxury senior living community in Houston, Texas. This is an opportunity to lead a successful, full-service community offering independent living, assisted living and memory care. The community is approaching stabilized occupancy and has a strong leadership team, established operating systems and an exceptional culture already in place. The next Executive Director will build upon what is already working while continuing to elevate the community’s financial performance, hospitality standards and overall resident experience. The Position The Executive Director will provide overall leadership for the community, with responsibility for operations, financial performance, team development, resident satisfaction and continued market growth. As the community transitions from lease-up into stabilization, this leader will focus on sustaining occupancy, growing revenue, improving operating margins and maximizing labor efficiency while maintaining the personalized service expected within a luxury environment. The successful candidate will be a visible, thoughtful and performance-oriented leader who can preserve a strong culture while continuing to identify opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities Provide strategic and operational leadership for the community. Sustain strong occupancy and guide the community toward full stabilization. Support rate growth while ensuring the resident experience continues to reflect the community’s premium positioning. Identify and optimize additional revenue-generating opportunities. Improve operating margins and overall community profitability.Maintain disciplined labor management aligned with resident needs and service expectations. Lead, develop and retain an established, high-performing leadership team. Promote strong employee engagement and maintain low team-member turnover Ensure an exceptional experience for residents and families. Generate resident referrals by building trust, loyalty and strong relationships. Strengthen the community’s reputation within the Houston market. Evaluate existing systems and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Maintain the polish, hospitality and service standards expected within a luxury setting. Qualifications Successful leadership experience within senior living, luxury hospitality or another highly service-oriented environment. Experience overseeing a complex operation with responsibility for financial, operational and service performance. Strong business acumen with a proven understanding of revenue growth, expense management and profitability. Polished, articulate and intentional communication style. Demonstrated ability to build trust with residents, families and team members. Strong leadership presence with the ability to create accountability while remaining collaborative and receptive to feedback. Genuine hospitality mindset and commitment to delivering an exceptional resident experience. Ability to lead and engage a sophisticated clientele in a premium environment. Experience developing, motivating and retaining high-performing teams. A continuous-improvement mindset and the desire to elevate an already successful operation.
