Company Overview K.E.L.L.Y. Youth Services, Inc. (KYS) is an Ohio 501(c)(3) non‑profit corporation licensed to operate group home and independent living arrangements in Hamilton County, Ohio. KYS facilities range from 4–12 beds and specialize in 24‑hour private non‑custodial group homes and independent living programs that foster and empower living and learning for youth aged 9 to 21 years old. Our residential setting programs help individuals move from substitute care to independently living responsible adults. Develop and nurture staff by continuous education and training in understanding how to realize, recognize and respond to traumatic experiences. Pledge to an unwavering commitment to the health, safety, and rights of clients that support a culture of non‑violence. Provide individualized care tracking and maintaining treatment planning at each stage of the client’s experience, including after care. Strengthen service delivery by utilizing an effective Performance, Quality and Improvement system as defined by Council on Accreditation (COA) & Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as best practice. Establish comprehensive, systematic, and effective risk prevention and management practices to reduce risk, loss, and liability exposure. Position Overview The Behavioral Health Manager (LISW‑S or equivalent) provides clinical leadership for K.E.L.L.Y. Youth Services’ behavioral health program serving youth in residential settings. This role supervises Qualified Behavioral Health Specialists (QBHS) and other clinical staff, supports trauma‑informed service delivery, and ensures timely, accurate clinical documentation. Clinical Supervision & Staff Oversight Provide clinical supervision and guidance to Qualified Behavioral Health Specialists (QBHS) in accordance with agency standards and best practices. Conduct regular supervision sessions and performance evaluations. Support staff development and promote clinical excellence. Trauma‑Informed Care Implementation Ensure adherence to evidence‑based, trauma‑informed clinical practices (TF‑CBT preferred when clinically indicated). Oversee trauma‑informed training for clinical and direct care staff. Promote trauma‑sensitive practices across all levels of care. Behavioral Health Service Delivery Oversee diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, therapy services, and crisis intervention. Ensure services are developmentally appropriate and individualized. Monitor service quality, consistency, and effectiveness. Clinical Documentation & Quality Ensure clinical documentation supports treatment planning, service delivery, continuity of care, and appropriate clinical decision‑making. Ensure timely, accurate documentation in the agency’s EHR (SimplePractice), including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and clinical summaries as applicable. Conduct or support routine clinical record reviews and documentation coaching to promote consistency and quality across the clinical department. Family & Community Engagement Support family‑centered care through involvement in treatment planning and discharge. Collaborate with providers, case workers, and community partners. Program Development & Leadership Partner with leadership to enhance clinical programming. Contribute to strategic planning and continuous quality improvement. Availability & Responsiveness Provide consultation during clinical emergencies. Support sound clinical judgment and professional decision‑making in complex situations. Position Qualifications Active LISW‑S license (or equivalent) in Ohio. Trauma‑Informed Care certification required; TF‑CBT preferred (KYS will sponsor training). 5+ years of behavioral health/clinical leadership experience. Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and EHR workflows (SimplePractice preferred). Strong leadership, training, and supervisory skills. Ability to work independently with confidence and initiative. Additional Requirements 21+ with a valid driver’s license. Successful completion of required criminal background checks (BCI/FBI). Successful completion of required child welfare and sex offender database searches (including SACWIS/Alleged Perpetrator Search and DOJ sex offender search).
