Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

• Provide acute care to female patients over the age of 18 with diverse medical and surgical conditions
• Function independently while supporting the development of a less experienced team
• Guide and educate less experienced staff, offering informal leadership and clinical resource support
• Manage 4:1 to 5:1 patient ratios in a private room setting
• Administer drips including Heparin, cardiac, and insulin as per protocols
• Utilize EMR systems, primarily Epic, for documentation and patient management

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
