Data Collection: Unit Information: Pharmacy 712 Location: Northeast Methodist Hospital Address: 12412 Judson Rd Floor: First Building: Main building General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds - 245 (licensed) Number of Staff – 38 Type of staff: Day Shift – 1 central pharmacist, 4 decentralized pharmacists, 1 ED pharmacist, 7 pharmacy technicians, 1 pharmacy buyer, 2 technician specialists Night Shift – 1 central pharmacist, 1 pharmacy technician Patient Ratios – varies per daily patient census Type of equipment - none EMR – Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Prior hospital experience (prefer at least 2yrs) Proof of completion of 20hr ACPE-accredited sterile compounding course (a letter attesting to completion of a course in sterile compounding from the pharmacist's university / college will suffice, too) Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Meditech experience Decentralized pharmacy experience – vancomycin dosing adjustments, renal dosing adjustments List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Medication Order Verification / Entry Supervise technical support personnel in drug preparation and distribution systems. Perform final dispensing check of all medication orders and complete required documentation. Review / Monitoring of Override Reports (and other reports) Best personality Fit: Humble / Hungry / Smart REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: Active Pharmacist license with Texas State Board of Pharmacy Floating Area(s): Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Olive top / black bottom Unit Guidelines/Policies: Weekends and On call(if any) No call. Rotates every other weekend due to 7 on/7 off rotation.
