About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to take on a hands-on leadership role in its accounting and finance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and maintaining banking relationships. This practical CFO position demands a professional who can operate both strategically and with a keen eye for detail, particularly in the areas of inventory, costing, gross margins, working capital, and cash forecasting. The CFO will also be a key financial advisor, working closely with the CEO and ownership group. Applicants for the CFO role at the company should have a proven track record in executive finance leadership within a manufacturing, consumer products, or inventory-driven business. A CPA is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial statement preparation, monthly close management, and experience with inventory and cost accounting in a product-based environment. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel-based financial reporting is essential, as is the ability to lead audit preparation and effectively partner with outside accounting firms. Experience in M&A, including financial due diligence and post-acquisition finance coordination, is also a key requirement for this position.
