Job Description:

As a Process Manager Senior Associate, at Capital One, you will be part of a smart, talented team responsible for creating and enhancing processes that deliver excellence to our debit network partners and clients. The ideal candidate is highly curious, technology-focused, and adept at finding automation and AI solutions to optimize legacy workflows. You will contribute immediately by taking complex operational problems, designing end-to-end solutions, and driving them into production while strengthening your process management best practices. The Process Manager Senior Associate will play a key role in delivering processes that impact the company’s bottom line. We are seeking dedicated, disciplined, process professionals who excel in a team environment, have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. The ability to manage change, adapt quickly, and influence up is key to success in this position.

General Responsibilities:

• Lead and own process improvement initiatives across Pulse Operations, prioritizing strategies that drive the highest efficiency and scale.

• Identify opportunities to leverage automation tools and AI capabilities to make existing debit networks workflows better, faster, and more automated.

• Collect operational data and leverage reporting to provide transparent, actionable insights to senior leadership and executives regarding network performance, disputes, fraud, and settlement.

• Monitor processes to track and resolve operational breakdowns, drive issue resolution and risk mitigation activities

• Design the entire process lifecycle by understanding customers’ needs—from identifying a bottleneck and developing the technical solution to planning execution and implementation into production.

• Develop and maintain formal process documentation including procedures and process flow diagrams 

• Direct and guide project teams and/or cross-functional stakeholders —including Product, Technology, Training, and Monitoring—as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to achieve desired operational outcomes and ensure seamless adoption of new processes.

• May lead a team and/or direct others on projects

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

• At least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office or G Suite

• At least 2 years of experience in Business Process Management , Project Management , Relationship Management or Risk Management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

• Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $88,800 - $101,300 for Sr. Process Manager

Houston, TX: $80,800 - $92,200 for Sr. Process Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
