Are you passionate about career coaching, workforce development, and helping people reach their employment goals? This could be the opportunity for you!

We are seeking motivated Career Advisor I professionals to support Adult and Youth workforce development programs in the Corpus Christi area. You’ll work one-on-one with participants to help them identify career paths, develop employment goals, access training and resources, overcome barriers, and take the next step toward a successful career.

Career Coaching & Case Management

• Provide individualized career counseling, coaching, and ongoing case management.
• Conduct career assessments to identify interests, skills, abilities, employment history, and training needs.
• Help participants establish realistic career and employment goals.
• Provide guidance on career exploration, resumes, interviewing, and job-search strategies.
• Conduct mock interviews and provide constructive feedback.

Training & Workforce Support

• Connect eligible participants with workforce development programs and services.
• Provide information about occupational training, education, apprenticeships, work-based learning, scholarships, and financial assistance.
• Share current labor market information, including career opportunities, qualifications, industry requirements, and expected compensation.
• Prepare applicable training, work-based learning, and supportive service requests.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in career advising, workforce development, case management, employment services, social services, or a related field strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying needs.
• Comfortable handling challenging or stressful situations professionally.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn case management systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
