Registered Nurse Oncology

Job Summary:

Provide expert nursing care to oncology patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and effective treatment. Operate within a fast-paced environment, adhering to clinical and institutional standards.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs and symptoms, and respond promptly to any changes.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care activities thoroughly in Meditech EMR, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures, side effects, and post-discharge care.
  
  
• 
  Float to other units as needed, providing support and coverage across clinical areas.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid New Jersey or Compact RN license.
  
  
• 
  Have at least 2 years of Med/Surg Oncology nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Be proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and basic arrhythmia review (minimum score of 80% on Basic Arrhythmia Exam).
  
  
• 
  Possess current BLS certification and all relevant state or facility-specific licenses/certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate ability to work every other weekend and adapt to floating requirements.
  
  
• 
  Pass clinical testing and background verification, including COVID-19 vaccination and booster proof.
