Probe Services Machinist (Onsite)

What You Will Do Fabricating parts for Non‑interference Stress Measurement (NSMS) probes to support development testing for commercial, military and APU engine programs. Fabricate holding fixtures required for manufacture of NSMS probes parts. Fabricate instrumentation and special test equipment parts to support development testing in WPB test facilities. Modify development testing hardware to support development testing for commercial, military and APU engine programs. Maintain shop tooling and inventory of cutting tools. Qualifications AA/AS degree or other 2‑year post high school training. 8 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment. Technical machinist trade school certification or manufacturing degree preferred. CNC machining, machine control programming (MasterCam), dimensional inspection (MicroVU) experience. Experience with AutoCAD, Wire EDM, machine setup, comparator operation, dimensional M&TE or blueprint reading. Knowledge of algebra and geometry. Knowledge/experience of Model Based Design (MBD). Role Type Onsite – employees work primarily onsite at the WPB site. Commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility. Eligibility and Security Clearance U.S. citizenship is required. Security clearance: None/Not required. Benefits and Compensation Salary range: $60,000 – $114,000.
