Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will join the Pulmonary Vein Stenosis (PVS) Program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, a nationally recognized center dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of children with pulmonary vein stenosis. As part of a highly specialized multidisciplinary team, the NP or PA will contribute to the delivery of comprehensive, patient-centered care for a complex patient population across the continuum of care.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with experts in a program that provides innovative therapies, individualized treatment plans, and lifelong disease management. The Nurse Practitioner will support clinical care, care coordination, patient and family education, and other programmatic initiatives while working closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and allied health professionals. The position also provides exposure to ongoing research efforts and clinical advancements aimed at improving outcomes for patients with pulmonary vein stenosis.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 12 years of APP experience, preferably in cardiology or other relevant environment.

What You Will Do

• Manage outpatient consultations and outpatient second opinions
• Develop PVS Telehealth program and provide Telehealth visits for PVS patients
• Attend PVS outpatient clinic
• Present outpatient data at weekly PVS meeting
• Manage outpatient PVS medication dose changes
• Prepare ICU's for outpatient cath/imaging encounters requiring ICU recovery
• Participate in peer to peer insurance rebuttals requiring APP
• Participate in clinical education
• Participate in clinical research and quality improvement
• Communicate with families and providers

Education Qualifications

• Master's Degree Nursing Required
• Or Bachelor's Degree Physician Assistant - Required
• Master's Degree Physician Assistant - Preferred

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work in an inter-professional team setting with multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to use computer and electronic medical records effectively.

• Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required
• Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required and
• Prescriptive Authority (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - within 3 months - Required and
• Specialty Certification - as a Nurse Practitioner in area of education/subspecialty. - upon hire - Required
• Or Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required and
• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants - upon hire - Required

Salary Range: $107,200.00 - $142,100.00 Annually
