Chief Estimator

Overview Multiple construction companies are seeking experienced Estimators / Project Managers to develop accurate, detailed cost estimates for complex commercial and residential projects. These roles focus on the coordination of budgeting, quantity surveying, subcontractor pricing, and bid communication across varied project types, ranging from luxury homes to large‑scale commercial developments. Responsibilities Prepare detailed quantity surveys and cost estimates based on construction drawings, specifications, and historical cost data. Coordinate budgeting activities, including procurement of subcontractor and supplier pricing. Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to identify cost drivers and potential risks. Communicate bids, scopes of work, and estimation assumptions to stakeholders and sales teams. Manage and lead the estimating process, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness of proposals. Assist in scheduling, resource planning, and self‑check of project documents during the pre‑construction phase. Collaborate with marketing, business development, and construction operations teams to support project execution. Participate in value engineering reviews and system studies to recommend cost‑saving alternatives. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating for commercial or residential projects (substantial track record preferred). Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical system design principles. Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications. Excellent multi‑tasking skills, self‑motivation, and the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and quality. Effective communication skills for collaborating with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
