Registration Clerk - Counseling Care

Beloit Health System is looking to add a Registration Clerk to our Counseling Care Team! Shift: 1stSchedule: 8 am - 5:30 pmHours per week: 40Benefits Status: EligibleDepartment: Counseling Care The Registration Clerk answers incoming telephone calls, checks in patients as they arrive, schedules appointment and takes telephone messages.Answers incoming phone lines in a prompt, courteous manner. Accurately records pertinent information when scheduling appointments and taking phone messages.Completely and accurately implements check-in process to include guarantor selection, updating demographic information, insurance entry and verification, copayments, and scanning of insurance card. Verifies that signature of NPP is on file, if not has patient sign form and updates on system.Checks patient out after completion of visit. Schedules any necessary follow-up appointments.Sets up information on system for new patient accounts.Follows instructions regarding patient account status to determine delinquent accounts and alerts appropriate personnel at time appointment is scheduled.Collects patient payments accurately (includes cash, check, debit and credit card payments), enters payments into computer system and prints receipt.Executes changes when indicated on patient data within the computer system, i.e., address, phone number, etc.Demonstrates ability to perform functions accurately and efficiently with computer software application appropriate to positionJob RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent required.Experience in working directly with the public in a service industry is strongly preferred.Strong computer skills (including MS Office and Word)Proficient typing skills.Ability to maintain accuracy while working on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under low supervision.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette.Ability to ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and maintain HIPAA compliance.Exceptional organization and time management skillsReporting Relationship: Department Manager.Apply to join our team today!
