Cafe Manager

Oversee daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Ensure compliance with all contract deliverables Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor COGs Recruit, train, and supervise café staff Coach and mentor under-performing staff and report personnel issues Ensure team members are fully trained and follow food handling and safety guidelines Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer needs are met Implement strategies to improve customer service for the FASTC community Complete administrative paperwork required by the company and contract Maintain a cooperative and harmonious working environment Perform subordinate duties as needed Perform other job-related duties as assigned Supervise employees Requirements Minimum Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in the food service industry Minimum Five (5) years of management experience in food service High School Diploma required Demonstrated knowledge of food service operations, food handling and safety regulations in compliance with industry regulations and best practices Excellent communication skills Excellent stress management and ability to maintain composure Ability to prioritize workload, solve problems quickly and interact with others to achieve efficient, seamless workflow Must pass NCIC background check Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment Subject to random drug screens throughout employment Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to push and pull up to 40 pounds Ability to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time Core Monday through Friday schedule with occasional evening or weekend hours as job duties demand Local travel may be required to procure goods as needed Core Competencies Demonstrates extensive experience in food service operations and management, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while effectively leading and training staff.
