Registered Professional Nurse

As a registered professional nurse, you will be responsible for delivering patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while guiding patient teaching and ancillary personnel activities. Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families.
• Promote patient independence through education on condition, medications, and self-care.
• Ensure quality care by adhering to therapeutic standards and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve patient issues and needs.
• Maintain infection-control protocols and medication administration procedures.
• Communicate effectively within healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Utilize leadership skills to delegate, communicate, and evaluate team members.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient status with appropriate interventions.
• Provide ongoing education to patients and families based on assessments.
• Prioritize care based on individual patient needs and initiate referrals as necessary.
• Participate in continuous education and hospital committees for performance improvement.
• Ensure patient safety and effective use of equipment and technology.
• Support hospital mission, vision, and values through professional conduct.

Submission Requirements

• 2 years of Med Surg experience
• Experience with floating to PCU
• Proficient with Telemetry
• ACLS (AHA) & BLS (AHA) certifications
• Covid Vaccine (exemptions allowed)
• Active Michigan State License
