Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department License: Valid RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - 2 years of experience in Emergency Department - Current California RN Licensure - BLS (AHA) - ACLS - PALS Description: The Registered Nurse demonstrates understanding of evidence-based practice. Possesses knowledge of pathophysiology and pharmacological implications. Understands regulatory issues and service line disease processes. Accurately and thoroughly documents assessments and performs clinical procedures. Administers IV therapy, Foley catheter insertions, and dressing changes. Provides effective patient and family education. Meets standards in the proper use of remote monitoring, IV therapy, and safe medication administration. Recognizes changes in patients' conditions and acts accordingly. Role models safety behaviors and reports errors, daily issues, and near misses. Acts as a patient advocate and collaborates effectively with the healthcare team. Accepts constructive feedback and maintains a professional appearance. Completes tasks within designated timeframes and takes initiative for follow-up. The position requires weekend rotation and involvement in patient care across diverse age groups. Daily census in the unit is approximately 120 patients. The Emergency Room accommodates various patient diagnoses and special procedures. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services. Candidates should be equipped to manage various acute conditions and emergencies. Travel experience is required, and commitment to ongoing professional development is expected.
