Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Emergency Department patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics
• Perform triage, assessment, and initiation of treatment for patients presenting to the ED
• Deliver discharge planning and education to patients and families
• May be required to float to an additional facility location as needed
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Associate Degree in Nursing (A.S.) or equivalent — required
• Minimum one year of acute care experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor — required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor — required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor — required
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) — required within 6 months of hire or transfer
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification — required
• Recent EPIC experience — required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior Emergency Department nursing experience beyond minimum acute care requirement
