We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Controls Engineer to join an innovative engineering team focused on designing advanced electro-hydraulic actuator systems used in critical industrial applications worldwide. Key Responsibilities

• Program PLC systems for custom electro-hydraulic actuation products from concept through production
• Design electrical control systems including:
  • Schematics
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Control panels
  • Control enclosures
• Create electrical schematics, BOMs, and layout drawings
• Perform electrical engineering calculations and power consumption analysis
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs
• Support internal testing, debugging, and factory acceptance testing
• Work closely with customers and internal teams to define project scope, schedules, and deliverables
• Review customer drawings, markups, and specifications
• Support proposal reviews and new product development efforts
• Lead engineering review meetings with internal teams and customers
• Travel occasionally to customer sites to support installations and field service activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering
• 5-10+ years of controls engineering experience preferred
• Experience programming PLCs from scratch
• Strong experience with:
  • Allen Bradley
  • Siemens
  • Schneider Electric
  • Wago (preferred)
• Experience with:
  • Ladder Logic
  • Function Block Programming
  • Structured Text (nice to have)
• Experience designing electrical control systems and schematics
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks preferred
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical system integration
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a hands-on engineering environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team environment
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel internationally up to 10%

Additional Details

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Predominantly onsite position
• Travel: Approximately 10% international travel
• Drug screen and background check required
• Candidates must be able to pass random drug screenings
