Project Manager

Primary Objective of role:

Dolphin Solutions designs, manufactures, supplies, and installs custom wash-wall systems for commercial construction and fit-out clients across the United States. The Project Manager owns the end-to-end delivery of these projects, from contract award through manufacture, dispatch, site installation, and final reconciliation. The role carries commercial and delivery responsibility for an assigned project portfolio, links the shop to the field, and protects margin, schedule, and quality on every job.

Key responsibilities:

Reporting and Working Relationships

Direct reports: engaged installation subcontractors on a project basis.

Works closely with: Design, shop and manufacturing team, Procurement, Accounting, and Sales.

External: general contractors and owners, end clients, field crews, freight providers, and installation subcontractors.

Project Delivery

Own each project from award to closeout, holding schedule, budget, and scope across the full lifecycle. Maintain the project board and reporting so status, milestones, and risks are always visible to the business. Coordinate the flow from order to manufacture to dispatch to install, keeping the shop and field aligned. Run field coordination with general contractors, resolve issues as they arise, and keep delivery on track to agreed dates.

Commercial and Contract

Review incoming subcontracts and lead contract negotiations to protect the company's commercial position. Manage change orders and claims, track payment milestones and lien waiver requirements, and drive each project to a clean final reconciliation. Maintain the record of negotiated positions so established precedents inform future contract reviews.

Quality, Safety and Compliance

Ensure delivery meets product specifications and client expectations through inspection and submittal processes. Maintain safety compliance across installation activities, including OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926), job hazard analyses, and subcontractor prequalification and onboarding. Read production drawings accurately, including unit multipliers, so procurement quantities and field sets are correct.

Systems and Process

Own and improve the operational systems that run delivery, including the project management and financial tracking boards. Drive automation and reporting that reduces manual effort and improves visibility for leadership and project stakeholders.

Communications

● Manage and respond to client, vendor, and internal email communications professionally and promptly. All incoming inquiries should be acknowledged within 24 hours of receipt.

● Ensure all customer-facing communications and documentation are accurate, professional, and aligned with brand standards.

Experience:

Essential

Proven project management experience in commercial construction or fit-out, ideally supply and install. Strong commercial acumen, including subcontract review, AIA and ConsensusDocs contract forms, change orders, claims, and lien waivers. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and inspection reports. Sound knowledge of OSHA construction safety requirements (29 CFR 1926) and quality assurance in a construction setting. Confident communicator able to hold relationships with general contractors, owners, field crews, and internal departments. Strong organizational skills with the capacity to run multiple projects to sensitive timelines. Competent with project, spreadsheet, and workflow tools, and comfortable improving systems and process.

Desirable

Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field. PMP, CCM, or OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification. Exposure to automation, reporting, and data tools that support operational delivery.

Technical Qualifications:

● Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and inspection reports, including unit multipliers for procurement accuracy.

● Working knowledge of AIA and ConsensusDocs contract forms, change orders, claims, and lien waiver processes.

● Sound knowledge of OSHA construction safety requirements (29 CFR 1926) and job hazard analysis.

● Competent with project management, spreadsheet, and workflow tools (e.g., Asana, Excel, costing/tracking sheets).
