Senior Multimedia Video Editor

Video Editor & Trailer Producer - Mudtek This is a freelance/contract position. Company Description Mudtek specializes in creating immersive multiplayer experiences that bring people together. Our mission is to develop games that nutures community, strategy, and social interaction. Our first title, Dimraeth, is a top-down 2D multiplayer RPG featuring a rich, handcrafted world, released into Early Access last month. We believe in crafting worlds where players can collaborate, compete, and create lasting memories through cooperative exploration, competitive strategy, and emergent gameplay. Role Description Mudtek is seeking a Video Editor & Trailer Producer to own how Dimraeth is presented to the world on YouTube and social media. Your primary focus will be editing trailers, from major game trailers to a recurring series of race and class reveal videos, and turning that long-form content into short-form clips for Shorts, TikTok, and Reels. This is a remote freelance/contract position open to applicants worldwide. We're a growing indie team, and for the right person who becomes an integral part of how we present Dimraeth, there's potential for this to grow into a full-time role. Our race and class reveals will follow a format similar to what you'd see from League of Legends or Ravenswatch: an art reveal that sells the fantasy of the character, followed by a design reveal with gameplay footage walking through their skills and abilities. We expect this to become a repeatable template of roughly 90 seconds, so we're looking for someone who can help build that format and then execute it consistently and efficiently with each new release. You'll also edit patch note and design-focused videos, where our team talks through changes, new systems, and the thinking behind them. These need to be clear, well-paced, and engaging, with on-screen footage and graphics that support what's being explained. We're looking for someone who understands that a great trailer is about rhythm: cutting to music, building anticipation, and landing the big moment. If you get excited about a perfectly timed beat drop, have strong opinions about pacing, and want to shape the public face of an indie title from the ground up, this is for you. Responsibilities Edit game trailers for announcements, milestones, and launches as a primary focus Develop and execute a repeatable ~90-second template for race and class reveal trailers, combining an art reveal with gameplay footage showcasing skills and abilities Edit patch note and design discussion videos, keeping them clear, well-paced, and engaging Cut long-form content into short-form clips for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels, reformatted for vertical viewing Create motion graphics, titles, text callouts, and ability name cards that fit Dimraeth's visual identity Select and edit music and sound design to support pacing and impact Partner closely with the art and design teams to capture gameplay footage and gather assets for each video Create or contribute to YouTube thumbnails Establish and document video style guidelines and templates so Dimraeth's presentation stays consistent as the channel grows Qualifications Proven experience editing game trailers (please include reel/portfolio with trailer work specifically) Deep proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or a similar professional editing tool Strong motion graphics skills in After Effects or similar Excellent sense of pacing, rhythm, and editing to music Experience editing gameplay footage and making it read clearly and exciting on screen Ability to work from templates and deliver consistent results on a recurring schedule Experience creating short-form vertical content for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, or Reels Comfortable working in a small remote indie team where you'll wear multiple hats Passion for games, especially indie and multiplayer titles Self-starter who can own a discipline end-to-end and deliver on deadlines without heavy oversight Nice to Have Experience with character reveal or champion spotlight style trailers Familiarity with pixel art aesthetics and presenting 2D games attractively on video Experience posting and scheduling content on YouTube and social platforms, including writing titles and captions Familiarity with YouTube Studio and social media analytics Thumbnail design and basic graphic design skills Background in RPGs or games with deep class and ability systems Experience capturing gameplay footage in Unity or setting up in-game camera shots #J-18808-Ljbffr Mudtek
