Location: 3040 Wende Road, Alden, NY 14004-1187

Description of Duties

Observe, measure, and record clinical data, which is used by other health practitioners to make health care decisions.
Pass medications, complete wound care, administer vaccinations and execute medical regimens as prescribed NY Licensed Physicians, Dentists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assist and Podiatrists.
Identify health problems or changes in a person's health status and determine whether immediate intervention is needed.
Report these problems or changes in a timely manner to an RN or directing practitioner.
LPN's are not legally allowed to take independent action to address the health problems or changes.
LPN's cannot perform clinical assessments.
An LPN is not legally allowed to practice nursing independently or provide nursing care that the LPN is not personally competent to perform and must be under supervision of RN or another licensed practitioner.

Minimum Requirements

LPN must be licensed in New York State.
Minimum of one year work experience post licensure.
BLS Required
