Carilion Clinic is seeking a highly qualified Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician to join their dedicated and compassionate Maternal Fetal Medicine Division in Roanoke, Virginia. This academic role exists within Carilion's well-established Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, affiliated with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Candidates will work closely with students and residents while providing specialized care for high-risk pregnancies. Practice Info Carilion Clinic Maternal Fetal Medicine and Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital is located on the outskirts of Roanoke's vibrant and safe Downtown District, less than a mile from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine & Fralin Virginia Tech Biomedical Institute. Practice is located on a newly renovated spacious floor within Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital. Practice consists of two experienced MFM physicians, two genetic counselors, two ultrasound techs, two RN's, a medical assistant, and clerical support staff. Designated RN serves as a nurse navigator facilitating communication with referring providers and rounding with the MFM physician. Access to advanced resources, including ultrasound equipment and a Level IV NICU. Responsibilities Provide specialized maternal and fetal care for high-risk pregnancies in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including OBGYNs, neonatologists, and other specialists, to ensure comprehensive care. Participate in the teaching and mentorship of OBGYN residents and medical students. Engage in clinical research opportunities to advance the field of maternal-fetal medicine. Perform and interpret advanced fetal imaging, including ultrasound and invasive fetal diagnostic procedures. Contribute to continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
