Participates in multidisciplinary teams as required. Knowledgeable regarding hospital policies and procedures. Work schedule is varied days and hours. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred. New Mexico Radiography Technologist (RRT) License or temporary license required. ARRT R.T.(R) certification preferred at hire; employee will have one year to obtain ARRT certification. Credentials: NM Radiography Tech, Rad Tech-Radiography, Temp NM Radiography Tech. Responsibilities Maintain department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality assurance and safety standards. Perform radiographic examinations and develop film, evaluating technical quality. Check equipment, supplies, and accessories regularly; maintain required stock for each radiography room. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Transport patients to radiographic room and prepare and maintain the room. Participate in educational programs, literature review, and workshops to enhance professional growth and development. Attend meetings as required.
