Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing Cardiopulmonary Services to both inpatients and outpatients. This role requires adherence to protocols approved by the medical staff and department policies to deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic services. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with various procedures, managing airways, ventilator management, and conducting pulmonary function studies.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.
• Maintain airways and manage ventilators.
• Insert arterial lines and perform intubations.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests.
• Perform blood gas analysis.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must be certified as RRT or CRT by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Must hold a valid Ohio Respiratory Therapy license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be through the American Heart Association).

Schedule

This position offers a night shift from 18:00 to 06:30.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
