Respiratory TherapistProvides assessment, treatment, care and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction.Essential Responsibilities:Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies.Completes documentation that is required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness e.g., charting, billing, IPOC, patient/family education.Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies.Provides instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed.Performs other duties as assigned or required.Qualifications:Minimum:Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy programPennsylvania licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) National Board of Respiratory Care required prior to the expiration of the Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)Preferred:Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care RRTTwo years' experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine in a hospital settingAdditional Employment Requirements:CPR – American Heart AssociationAct 34 Criminal Background Clearance CertificateAct 33 Child Abuse Clearance CertificateAct 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance CertificateCompliance Requirement: This job adheres to the ethical and legal standards and behavioral expectations as set forth in the code of business conduct and company policies.As a component of job responsibilities, employees may have access to covered information, cardholder data, or other confidential customer information that must be protected at all times.
