Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
About the Position
Join our fast-growing, employee-friendly company as a Medical Billing Assistant in our Langhorne office. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a motivated, organized individual interested in working in a healthcare environment.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide administrative support to the Reimbursement & Billing Department and assist with daily billing and office operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Medical Billing Assistant will support Reimbursement and Billing representatives with a variety of administrative tasks, including:
- Scanning, printing, and proofreading documents
- Creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets and updating information as needed
- Sorting and distributing departmental mail
- Researching returned mail and updating patient information in the system
- Mailing patient invoices and secondary claims
- Performing accurate data entry
- Completing additional tasks and projects as assigned by the supervisor
Skills & Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Healthcare experience is a plus
- Experience using NaviNet is a plus
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team
