CNC Operator II - Experienced-US

Job Summary Responsible for setting up and operating Mazak mills, Mikino sinkers, Fanuc Robocut wire, Okuma/Hwacheon lathes, and other manual machines. The Machinist will produce precision parts to specifications, ensuring efficient machine operation, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Shift 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM Training Schedule 3–6 months training: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines such as Mazak mills, Mikino sinkers, wire cutting, and Okuma/Hwacheon lathes to perform drilling, grinding, milling, and other machining tasks. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining operations. Program and adjust machine settings (speed, feed, tool changes) to ensure optimal performance. Run routine maintenance on machines and equipment to keep them in good working condition. Read and write G‑code for editing speed adjustments, feeds, or toolpaths, debug machine issues, and set up tooling. Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and quality of finished parts. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to adhere to specifications and quality standards. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve machining issues and optimize processes. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Key Accountabilities Commit to working safely and understand all safety procedures. Follow control plans, ensuring products are processed and inspected according to proper routings and specifications. Meet daily departmental production goals; be reliable and dependable. Communicate safety, quality, and product issues with supervisors, team members, and across shifts. Physical Demands Approximately 8, 10, or 12 hours with scheduled breaks. Standing, intermittent walking, reaching, sitting, bending, and lifting products weighing no more than 33 pounds. Fine motor tasks using hands and fingers to operate machinery and handle tools safely. Visual acuity required for reading gauges, inspecting products, and ensuring quality standards. Physical stamina and focus during repetitive tasks are essential. Working Conditions Work in environments with varying temperatures and noise exposure. Some environments may include controlled temperatures and dust collection systems. Personal protective equipment (PPE) required: safety glasses with side shields, safety shoes, gloves, and cut‑resistant gloves as necessary. Problem Solving Set up and run orders according to the order selection procedure. Resolve routine problems using learned knowledge and production processes. Escalate recurring problems and major decisions to supervisor. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in machining/CNC preferred. 5+ years experience operating CNC machines (metal machining preferred).
